Originally built in 1968, the hotel was re-branded as The Hotel Five540Forty in the autumn of 2010.  Located at 540 Victoria Street, The Hotel Five540Forty is known as Kamloops’ Best Address. Now consistently recognized as the leading Business Class hotel in Kamloops, The 540 offers services and amenities that other hotels in Kamloops don’t.  As part of the re-branding process, the hotel undertook a $12 Million renovation. Through this process, all guest rooms, the lounge, restaurant, hallways lobby and meeting space were re-designed and modernized. In keeping with our new environmental plan, each guest room was fitted with new energy efficient windows, individual heat/air-conditioning units, integrated low demand showers and environmentally engineered toilets. In January/February 2012 the hotel will develop a new hotel entrance, especially created to welcome our guests. The hotel will also completely replace the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning units for all public areas with the most recent energy efficient systems.  New LED and energy efficient lighting will also be installed.
